Sour cabbage TM «Olvita» - winner of the testing in program «Quality Mark» channel «Inter»

In May 2010 «Sour cabbage» TM «Olvita» was selected to participate in famous «Inter» channel TV-show – «Quality Mark» in the category of pickles. This project – the only one on Ukrainian television as a source of information on products and things that we buy. In each show a new product analyzed and the viewer has the opportunity to look from a new angle on a variety of products.
At this time, sour cabbage was investigated, which at all times has been one of the main foods of the Slavs in the winter-spring period, when there is an acute shortage of vitamins and trace elements. Sour cabbage contains many useful substances, due to the fact that it retains all those vitamins that are also present in fresh cabbage. First of all this is vitamins «C» and «K», as well as vitamin «B» («B1», «B2», «B3», «B6», «B12»). Carbohydrates contained in the cabbage are transformed into healing lactic acid in the fermentation process. In addition, cabbage contains a number of minerals: potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, etc., which contribute to improving the well-being, digestion, strengthen the immune system, and normalizes blood sugar and cholesterol.
To check the quality ofsour cabbage with the help of professionals and consumers was chosen five brands, both Ukrainian and foreign, among which were the products of TM «Olvita».
At all stages of testing: two professional examinations (sensory and chemical analysis) and traditional tasting, «Sour cabbage» TM «Olvita» was awarded the «Quality Mark» got the highest score.
Traditionally, a story about manufacturing process shooting for each show. This time a production base of Olvita company become a set, where representatives of «Inter» channel were able to track the entire process of sour cabbage production, from the stage of before-pack cleaning to ready product.
Furthermore, in program in which evaluates the quality of Korean style carrot, the story about shredding technology and production of Korean style carrots was shooting in manufacturing plants of Olvita company, although Olvita’s production did not participate in this examination, as previously demonstrated a high level of quality.
